Patrick Allen Pierson passed away peacefully June 20, 2020 in his home at the age of 69. He was born February 1, 1951in Marion, IN to Forrest & Roma (Calender) Pierson.
Pat grew up on a farm and was an animal lover which led him to his career as a harness racing trainer/driver. He was an accomplished trainer and traveled country. Pat was also taxi cab driver which he loved especially meeting people.
He was a fun loving guy and lived life to the fullest and would not hesitate to indulge in a adult beverage or smoke. "Pierson's Here and Full of Beer!"
Pat was a gruff teddy bear of a man who deeply loved his wife Patricia whom he married February 2, 1995 and survives him, and he took great pride raising their granddaughter Josalyn. He also is survived by his children Donna Annette (Rocky) Loney of Montpelier, IN, Toni (Ray) Dishman of Montpelier, IN, James (Ashley) Hunt of Toledo, Charles(Angie) Hunt of Toledo, Tamra (Anthony) Chininis of Toledo, Deana (Darin) Chininis-Wright of Toledo and Paula Chininis of Toledo; loving grandpa to Caleb Castle, AJ Wright, Josh, James, Anastacia and Kendric Dishman, Dakotah, Leah and Weston Hunt, Georgia Moon, Louis III Vincenzo Costilla, Zachary Neal, Gerald Chininis. Jakob Spencers and Josalyn Chininis; great grandpa to Louis III, Avaryaunna, Paige and Elsa Costilla, Vincenzo Jr., Zachary Neal and Renemae Dobbs; brother to Frosty Pierson of IN, Cam Cravens of NM, Donna Ryan of NJ and Jim Work of KY.
Pat is preceded in death by his mother Roma Shackleford; father Forrest Pierson; 1st wife Sheila Smith-Slater; great grandson Jesse Costilla; siblings Carolyn Cravens, Linda Doyle and Mike Pierson and brother-in-law Dan Ryan.
A Celebration of Patrick's Life will begin at Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Saturday June 27, 2020 after 4pm (visitors are asked to wear mask, guest please limit your time so that others may have a chance to pay their respects and social distancing will be observed inside facilities) followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 6 PM.
