Paul Earl Ward, age 87, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on May 11, 2022 in Sylvania, Ohio.

Paul was born in Toledo, Ohio to Emra Ward and Anna May [Mack] Ward on October 20, 1934. He attended Devilbiss High School. He later enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and served from 1952 until 1960.

Paul initially worked as a millwright for the Gerity-Schultz Corporation, later moving on to Jeep/Chrysler until his retirement in 1999. In his free time, Paul enjoyed boating, fishing, and taking care of his dogs.  He was an excellent cook who relished entertaining his family and friends at holiday gatherings.  He was a member of the Ottawa River Yacht Club, Elks, Eagles, and the NRA.

Paul is survived by his son, Gale (Kristine) Ward of Toledo, granddaughters Danielle Ward and Lynzee Ward, and great-granddaughter Giavanna Sarno.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm at Castillo Funeral Home, 1757 Tremainsville Rd, where funeral service will be held Wednesday March 18th at 11 AM followed by interment at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Sunset Village and Ashanti Hospice for the loving care Paul received in his final months.
