IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paula Teneyck
Davis
December 7, 1952 – May 16, 2024
Paula TenEyck Davis age 71, was born on December 7th, 1952. She was the cherished only child of William Henry TenEyck and Alice Lucille Sikorski TenEyck. She began her education at Christ the King and later attended Notre Dame Academy, graduating in 1970. Paula's greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother to her three children: Bridgette Renee, Scott Aaron, and Alicia Marie. She had the privilege of staying at home to raise her children. After her children were grown, she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. Paula attended Owens State Community College, where she met her late husband Warren "Pops" Davis. With great determination, Paula graduated with honors in 1996 with an associate degree in applied science, specializing in Registered Nursing. She dedicated her nursing career to various healthcare facilities in Toledo and its surrounding areas. Paula spent over a decade at UTMC, formerly known as Medical College of Ohio, where she formed special, lifelong friendships.
In 2017 Paula was diagnosed with breast cancer, but she continued to work full-time as a nurse, displaying unwavering strength and resilience. Paula's most recent employment was at Franciscan Care Center of Toledo, where she formed a close bond with her good friend Terri. Paula retired on February 1st, 2023, not by choice, but due to medical necessity.
On May 12th, 2024, Paula spent a final Mother's Day surrounded by all her children, her only son, Scott (Malissa) Richter of Jacksonville, Florida, her eldest daughter, Bridgette (Melody) Richter of Weston, Ohio, and her youngest daughter, Alicia Davis of Toledo, who lived with Paula and acted as her full-time caregiver. Paula's cousin Gloria provided unwavering support throughout her battle with cancer. Paula's beloved grandchildren, Samantha Priebe, James Gay, Makella Richter and Jeffrey Richter were also by her side.
Paula gained her angel wings and joined her loved ones in heaven on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, at the Hospice Center of Northwest Ohio in Sylvania. A Celebration of Life will be held at Castillo Funeral Home (1757 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43613) on November 27th, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 to honor and remember Paula's remarkable life and the love she shared with all who knew her.
