IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pedro Juan
Cintron, Jr.
October 25, 1947 – September 24, 2025
On September 24th, 2025, Pedro J. Cintron entered into eternal paradise through God's grace. He was born on October 25th, 1947 in Salinas, Puerto Rico to Pedro J. Cintron Sr. and Eusebia Ortiz Alicea. Pedro lived a life marked by service, dedication, generosity, and loyalty.
Pedro proudly served his country as a Private First Class in the United States Marine Corps, completing multiple tours in Vietnam. Beyond a display of great courage, his military service was a testament to his deep-seated values of reverence and honor. He continued to carry this purpose throughout his life.
After his military career, Pedro pursued a higher education at Wayne State. He later embarked on a career that took him across the nation, quite literally. He drove his Peterbilt across the lower 48, allowing him to experience the vastness of the country he served and loved.
Baseball was one of Pedro's lifelong passions. Over the years he played with numerous teams from the Marine Corps to minor leagues in Puerto Rico, along with various leagues in Northwest, Ohio such as, The Homeboys, the P.A.L. and sheriff leagues. His love for the game connected him with many communities and brought joy to countless teammates and fans.
Faith played a central role in Pedro's life, as he extended his spiritual knowledge with guidance and support, love and kindness, to all around. He was an active member of St. Peter and Paul, where he served as a deacon for many years. His loving spirit and most generous heart has left a lasting imprint on all who came in contact with him.
His honorable legacy is now lived through his beloved Son, Julio (Janeal), his grandchildren: Angel, Aleyah, and Ariela, siblings: Miguel Colon, Norma, Anna (Jerson) Flores, and Michelle Jimenez; along with many nieces and nephews. There to greet him in his everlasting journey were his parents; his sisters, Beverly Holland and Jacqueline Cintron and brothers; Domingo Colon and Noel Cintron.
Pedro Juan "Pete" Cintron Jr will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, generous heart, and selfless acts of service both in uniform and in his everyday life. May his memory bring heartwarming comfort to all.
His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 175 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday after 3 PM followed by a Catholic Prayer service at 6 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to his family via this website to help offset expenses.
