IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Peggy Kay
(Lohbauer) Puls
July 1, 1958 – August 23, 2022
On Tuesday, August 23rd, Peggy K. Puls (Lohbauer), passed away at the young age of 64 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, auntie, and best friend. Peggy was born July 1, 1958 in Toledo to James Sr. and Charlotte (Heitman) Lohbauer.
Peggy graduated from Whitmer High School in 1976 with her cosmetology license and went on to work at various salons. Her great love of children then led to her providing childcare for numerous generations. In her later years, she worked in retail, Kmart, and most recently Kohls.
She was an avid reader, the family photographer, enjoyed taking walks at the Botanical Gardens and Wildwood, and loved attending musicals at the Stranahan with Brandy. She was a lover of all kinds of music, especially her long-time celebrity crush Jon Bon Jovi.
Peggy was best known for her love of her family, being a huge worry wart, and her incredible skill as a baker and cook. Her family will most miss her huge smile and little giggle, her optimism and willingness to help others, and her insane need to be early to everything! Peggy always had a way of making everyone feel like she was their biggest fan.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jim Lohbauer Sr. and her beloved "furbabies", Sandy, Beethoven, and Riley.
Peggy is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart, Larry Puls; her daughter and best friend, Brandy Puls; mother, Charlotte Lohbauer (Heitman); siblings Jim Jr (Amy), Vicky, and Danny (Shelly); nieces and nephews aka bonus children, Jay (Melissa), Nichole, Rachel (Terry), Samantha, Shayna, Shaun, Amanda, James, & William; her great nieces and nephews; and her much loved Puls family.
Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremanisville Rd. Sunday after 3 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Prayer service at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to her family via this website to help offset expenses.
This is not goodbye but see you later.
