Ramona Sanchez passed away August 2, 2026, at Wellbridge Assisted Lining in Clarkston, Michigan, she was 80. She was born on September 30, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio to Antonio and Georgia Navarro.

As a teen Ramona worked as a Candy Striper at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. It wasn’t long before she met the love of her life Joe Sanchez to whom she was married for 53 Years. She enjoyed bowling, golf, cooking, boating and traveling. Her life’s journey filled her with fond memories of family and vacations to Germany, Czech Republic, Paris & Hawaii.

Mona stopped working in the 1980’s to spend more quality time caring for her family. In 2005 she and her husband moved to Texas to be closer to her son Gill and his family while he served in the Army. She loved going to the Senior Center and taking their bus tour and she excelled with deep passion for making and painting elaborate ceramics. In 2024 Mona and Joe moved to Michigan to reside with her son and his family.

Mona is survived by her son Gill (Anne) Garza, grand children Lauren (Gary) Dobbs, Dawn (Kipp) Easley and Avery Garza; great grand children Bella, Brynlee, and Adam.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Saturday August 15th after 1 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Prayers Service at 3 PM.
