RAUL JOSE GONZALEZ ," TOOTSIE" or "RUDY", 68 of Toledo Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio -Toledo surrounded by his family.He was born in Monroe, Michigan on December 19, 1956 to Jesus and Antonia (Zavala) Gonzalez. RAUL IS SURVIVED BY His Son, Jose "Joey" Gonzalez, His Grandson's Demarceano Vina and Eduardo Vina; brothers  Mario, Roberto (Virgie), Sister Olga, and sister-in-law Irene, along with a bunch of his loving stepchildren and step grandchildren from his long time loving companion Lisa Gonzales, and tons of nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly! Raul was preceded in death by his father Jesus and mother Antonia. Along with his brothers Arnulfo and Daniel, His Sister Delores and sister-in-law Angie. He also joins his daughter Sonia Selia, Grandson Octavio Vina, the mother of his children Norma Jasso, and his loving companion, Lisa Gonzales. Raul was a spiritual man who loved all his family and friends. He'd help anyone out if he could, and smiling while doing so. He was a Whitmer high school graduate, General laborer, entrepreneur, and family man, his passion, was making music, but especially rock. Raul played guitar, harmonica, drums and any other instrument he could get his hands on. "Tootsie" was definitely musically inclined and very talented, but besides playing and making music he'd spend his days stopping by and visiting with family and friends, helping them out if and when they needed it. Raul attended Compassion Church regularly and love to spread the word of the Lord. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and taking them places. "Rudy" was a very loving man with a big heart and always had a smile on his face! He loved joking and laughing with family and friends, and we can't forget how cool his WALK was! Raul will definitely be missed and he was tremendously loved deeply by all. Raul was and still is an amazing son, father, brother, best friend, and companion to anyone who would ever ask. So FLY HIGH, "2 COOL 4 SCHOOL RAUL" and play us a Rock Jam!!! Until we meet again at home in everlasting life! In Jesus name, we pray AMEN!!!

His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Monday after 12 Noon followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial service at 1 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to his family for his grandchildren or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
