Ruben Orozco born February 2, 1954 in Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Rosary Care Center in Sylvania, Ohio.

An Ohio resident for most of his life, Ruben is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Susie Orozco. Welcomed by siblings Alicia (Lupe) Barboza, Roberto (Bob) Guerrero Sr. and other loving family members.

A proud family man, Ruben is survived by his children Jose Orozco (Shelia), Rene Orozco (Dawn), Oriana Rife (Brett), Alyssa Frelin (Tony) and grandchildren: Alexandria Foncannon (Michael), Isaiah Orozco, Johnathon Orozco, Chloie Orozco, Isabelle Orozco, Tristan Orozco, Vincent Orozco, Cruz Rife, Rosario Rife, Dominic Frelin, Roman Frelin and multiple great-grandchildren.

Ruben was an avid-athlete who loved football and wrestling. Whether on the sideline coaching the "Bad Boys" line of the Westwood Rams, being a devoted sports dad cheering on his children during Whitmer's Friday Night Lights without ever uttering the words "Go Blue", his passion and energy could be heard in the corner at wrestling matches for his sons and grandsons or watching his favorite teams the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Miami Dolphins. He loved music showcased through playing guitar and performing on stage or singing to his favorite bands while vacuuming and dusting during weekend cleanings. He can be remembered loving the Sunday newspaper and a classic cup of coffee.

He reignited his faith later in life with support from the Sisters of St. Francis proudly participating in his Catholic roots. A special thanks to the staff at Rosary Care Center for their support and kindness over the last thirteen years. They held a special place in Ruben's heart and helped him gain some independence after his stroke in April 2011.

Ruben requested to be cremated and to be remembered with memories of joy and not sadness. There are no formal plans for an end of life celebration at this time. If you wish to honor Ruben, spread joy and love your family and friends.
