IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Salina Elizabeth
Matz
November 7, 1991 – February 7, 2023
It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of Salina Elizabeth Matz. Sadly she left us on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023. She was born on November 7th, 1991 in Oregon, Ohio to Denise Henry-Good. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 2010 where she played broomball and ran cross country. Salina graduated from Toledo Beauty Academy where she was instructed by her Nana/namesake. Salina used her natural artistic talent as a hairstylist in Toledo where she had many clients that she adored and they equally adored her back. She was also employed with Bedford Public Schools as a playground assistant at Monroe Road Elementary where she had a wonderful rapport with the students and colleagues.
Salina was one of a kind. She was the perfect mix of a tough, no nonsense kind of girl but extremely caring with a hilarious personality. Her beautiful smile could light up a room.
She had a huge heart that led her to be an avid animal lover and fierce supporter for human rights where she focused her time advocating for women's reproductive health.
Salina was a loving partner, a thoughtful daughter, a dependable sister, a caring aunt and an amazing friend. But most importantly she was a devoted mother who loved her children beyond measure.
She spent most of her time making memories with Cambria and Carter doing their favorite things. She loved taking care of them and always focused on their happiness.
Salina is preceded in death by her grandpa Clifford Matz and grandpa Robert Good and cousins Justin and Andrew Good.
Left to cherish her memory are her partner Zachary Gravelle, her children Cambria and Carter, her parents Denise & Matt Good, her sister Amanda (nieces Mila & Marley and nephew Nolan), her brother Joshua Good (Lauren), her nana and papa Minerva & Tim Borgerson, grandma Maryanne Matz, grandma Phyllis Good, grandparents Robert & Monica Henry and Roger & Carol Stark, newly found half sisters Arriyanna & Alexis, special aunts Jessica Henry and Patricia Ziegler; godfather/uncle Paul Henry and godmother Merry Brenner. Also many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her beloved cats & dogs. She is gone too soon but we loved her enough for a lifetime.
Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. to celebrate her life Friday, February 17th from 4-7 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to her family in Salina Matz's name at any 5th/3rd Bank branch or via this website. .
