William David Yoakum passed away unexpectedly Sunday February 17, 2019 in his home at the age of 62. He was born December 20th, 1956 in Erie, MI and retired from the Ford Motor Co. as a welder.

Bill was an avid sports fan and was knowledgeable in sports trivia and statistic. He loved the Detroit sports teams Red Wings, Lions and his favorite team being the Detroit Tigers as well as the University of Michigan sports teams keeping up with all of them on his sports radio, which he cherished.

Bill enjoyed classic rock & country music and was a guitar player. His greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandkids who he'd play catch with.

He is preceded in death by his mother Zana (Bullock) Grosse and sister Patricia Yoakum. Bill is survived by his children Tara (Shane) Valeri, William Yoakum Jr. and Dana (John) DiModica; grandchildren Dillon Valeri, Hunter Yoakum, Paul DiModica, Logan Valeri, Max DiModica, Miranda DiModica and John DiModica, Jr.; and sister Deb Rhine.

Family will receive friends Friday at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. after 4 PM where a Celebration of Life service will take place at 7 PM.
