Amy Sue (Farley) Smith
May 4, 1977 ~ January 20, 2024 (age 46) 46 Years Old
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Amy Sue Smith, who passed on after a long, strong fight against Cancer on January 20th, 2024, at the age of 46.
Born on May 4th, 1977, in West Branch, Michigan, She lived most of her life in Toledo, Ohio. Amy forged unbreakable and long-lasting bonds with everyone she ever worked with or came across as Patrons. She was an excellent judge of character and was loving and loyal to those she deemed worthy. Amy loved her family more then she could ever say, especially her children and grandchild. She won over a lot of hearts with her amazing cooking and recipes. She knew how to season some chicken and make some amazing greens. Amy was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago Bears, and the Detroit Tigers. She could talk smack with the best of them and still cheer your team on if hers wasn’t playing while making snarky comments. She wasn’t very religious, but she held respect for God throughout her life. To know her was to love her. She was tenacious, stubborn, fiercely loyal, and loved unconditionally.
Amy is survived by her Significant other, Jeffery Franklin, her Mother Suzanne Hebel (Diaz),Stepmother Cheri Hooper, Daughters Trinity Williams, Aurora Zimmerman, Her Grandson Jakob Tyler Smith-Prothero and his mother Arianna. Her sisters, Melissa Westover, Christy Thorne, Kari Cunningham and their families. Her Brothers, Thomas Farley, Walter Farley, and their families. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Amy is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents Frank and Shirley Hebel. Her Paternal Grandparents Mary and Harold Farley. Also, her beloved son Jakob Tyler Smith who she joins in Heaven to Party.
A public memorial will be held at one of Mom’s favorite places for friends and family to pay respects and share their memories of her amazing life at Sneaky Pete’s on February 18th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate potluck donations for the Celebration of Life. Contact Suzanne Diaz for coordination of what to bring.
Rest in peace, dear mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
