Cassandra Marie Gonzales

Cassandra Marie Gonzales Young passed away Sunday November 3, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family after a year and half battle with leukemia.

Cassandra was born to Sonia Trevino & Victor Gonzales on April 2, 1984 in Toledo Ohio.  To some she was Cassandra “Channa or Cass”.  She had a warm welcoming heart, contagious smile & great sense of humor.  Channa loved music, dancing, and taking pictures especially selfies. Most of all she loved spending time with  her family & friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandpas David Trinidad, Tomas Gonzales, uncle Daniel Aguilar & stepmother Pricilla Gonzales, baby brother Joel Gonzales, Godfather Raul Reyna, cousins Daniel Aguilar, Severa Aguilar and Jesse Gonzales.

Channa is survived by her parents Rolando & Sonia Trevino, Victor Gonzales; husband LaRon Young; son Xavier Gonzales, grandmother; Angelita Trinidad; siblings Tomas (Mindy) Gonzales, Dominque Trevino, Carlos (Abbey) Gonzales, Corina (Jeno) Gonzales, Victoria Trevino, Angelo (Jackie) Reyna, Angel Trevino, Victoria Gonzales, Angelina Gonzales, Roberta (Javi) Ruiz, Savanna (Javi) Trinidad and lots of nieces, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, & friends also survive.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Sunday after 2 PM with a Rosary Service at 7 PM and Monday after 9:30 AM with funeral prayers at 10:15 AM followed by Funeral Mass at 11 AM in Saints. Peter & Paul Catholic Church 738 S. St. Clair St. with interment to follow at Restlawn Cemetery. Her family would like to thank the Ohio State James Wexner Center for their care.
