Charles Dale Wilkes

Charles Dale Wilkes “Spud” of Curtice Ohio was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on February 4, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Charles was born on May 18, 1952, in Huntington West Virginia to Charles and Iva Wilkes.  He was a loving husband to his wife Debbie of 36 years. Charles was a member of Living Word Baptist Church in Oregon Ohio.  Charles retired from Jeep after 35 years and Kuka after 10 years.  He had a love for Jesus, his family and cars,

Charles was preceded is death by his parents Charles and Iva Wilke his brothers John Rupert and Larry Wilkes, sister Debi Wyat, granddaughter Ashley Wilkes, his special friends Lowell Nutter and Tom Pierce.

Charles is survived by his wife Debbie, children Jennifer (Greg) Huber, Fred (Sam) Wilkes, Tina (Mike) Shadix and Jamie Wilkes, seven Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren, brother Bob Wilkes, sisters Gloria (Joe) Strabourg, and Gladys Upchurch, his buddies Arson, Joe and Steve.  Many Nieces and Nephews and his church Family.

A Special Thank you to Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Sylvania), Rae of Heartland Hospice Palliative Care and Davita in Oregon Ohio.

His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Tuesday after 3 followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made ot Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Charles Wilkes’s name.
