Daniel Frank Calhoun of Lambertville passed away Friday November 17, 2023 in Regency Hospital after a long illness at the age of 70. He was born March 9, 1953 in Toledo to J.D. and Lillie (Budd) Calhoun and graduated from Macomber High School in 1970. Dan was a railroad worker for Shoreland, Grand Trunk, and Canadian National Railroads for over 30 years, before retiring.
He was very active in his younger years as a member of the Toledo Roadrunners, he ran in numerous marathons and triathlons. Dan continued his love of running, never missing any of his daughters meets.
He also enjoyed photography and cooking and was quite the foodie trying and sharing new recipes with family and friends. Dan loved all types of music and listening to audio books some of his favorite authors being Stephen King and Carl Hiaasen.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Linda Graves and John Calhoun. Dan is survived by his loving wife Janet M. Kmonk; daughters Errinn (Andrew Narvaez) Calhoun, Katherine (Nick Wolff) Calhoun and Kelsey (T.J.) Dilkens; grandchildren Lillie, Jason, Maycee, Chris, Leo, Quinn, Vera and Isabella; sister Bonnie (Chris) Borgerson and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation and a private memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
