David Matthew Roth Sr. of Toledo, Ohio passed away quietly at home on the morning of August 1st, 2020. David had an awesome spirit. He was selfless and kind-hearted. Anyone who knew him knew that David loved to make others laugh. He was never happier than when he was spending time with his family, or playing video games with his eleven year old son. David served in the United States Army. He drove truck for fifteen years, and served as a volunteer firefighter for South Bordman, Michigan. David was born February 21st, 1971 to Linda Sue Spencer and David Allen Roth. He was preceded in death by his father David, father-in-law McKinley J. Bryant, and nephew Daniel Bryant. He is survived by his wife Denise, daughters Victoria, AnDrea, and Shelby, son David Jr., grandson Jeremiah, granddaughters Riley, Nya, and Aryiana, sisters Theresa Roth and Wendy Lashuay, mother-in-law Carolyn Bryant, brother-in-laws Richard (Kimberly) Metroff, John Metroff, Timothy Metroff, sister-in-laws Sheilah (Larry) Kruzel, Hope (Bart) Parish, Ottum Bryant, Charletta (Jesse) Hernandez, 26 nieces and nephews, 32 great-nieces and nephews, and 1great-great niece. David was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He will be truly missed.
His Family will receive friends for limited visitation (masks must be worn, 40 in building at a time, guest please limit your time so that others may have a chance to pay their respects and social distancing will be observed inside facilities) at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday from 3 – 7 PM where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday at 10 AM followed by interment at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to his family via this website to offset expenses.
