Dennis Edwin Patrick

Dennis (Denny) Patrick Sr. (73) died peacefully, surrounded by family and in the comfort of his own home, on June 6, 2022. Denny was preceded in death by his beloved wife Molly less than one year ago, following 36 years of marriage.

Born and raised by Edwin Patrick and Jean Gillespie (with husband Gene), Denny grew up in the Port Clinton area and spent the bulk of his adult life in Toledo, Ohio. Denny was known for being "Mr. Fix-it", repairing everyone’s appliances and sharing his knowledge with friends and family. Denny loved family cook-outs and spent his free time being a jokester, making trips to casinos, and raising his children, step-children, and his beloved granddaughters Monica and Vicky. In the last year of his life, as he battled cancer, driving his nephew's Challenger was a particular highlight.

A devoted husband to Molly Rose, Denny was a loving father to two children, Dennis Jr and Denise (Scott); and stepfather to three, Margaret (Frank), Ray (Alegre), and Mark (Gretchen).  Denny is preceded in death by 3 siblings and survived by his former wife Barbara Tober. Denny’s 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren include Dennis III, Monica, Terry, Isaiah (Emily), Victoria (Tre), Raegan, Billie, Hayley, Alysiana, Gabby, Miley, Amilio, Genevieve, Ian, Hudson, Amilia, and Pearl.

A celebration of Denny’s life will be held at the Castillo Funeral Home (1757 Tremainsville Ave) on Saturday, June 18th after10 am, followed by services at 12 Noon  with entombment at Restlawn Cemetery.
