Florence "Flo" Elizabeth (Hornstein) Seiler

Florence Elizabeth Seiler “Flo” passed away October 27, 2024in her home at the age of 76. She was born June 20, 1948 in Toledo to Aaron and Cecilia (Bihn) Hornstein and graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1966.

After high school, Flo went St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing and began her career in healthcare eventually working as a LPN at St. Vincent for the next 43 years.

On May 19, 1968, She married the love of her life John Seiler, who preceded her in death after 40 years of marriage in 2008. Flo was known as a thrifty shopper and enjoyed going to garage sales and even would make her daughter’s clothes. She also loved animals and owned cats and dogs over the years.

Flo is survived by her daughter Barbra “Babs” Bosma – Seiler; son-in-law jack Bosma; grandson Richard Bosma; sisters Monica Carpenter, Ginny Schroeder and Sue Droll; brother Tony Hornstein; nieces and nephews Sue Witmore, Tamara Hornstein, Bob, Randy, Marcia, Ann and Greg (Hornstein), Linda, Eric and Andy (Kaufman), Doug, Gordon and Leah (Schroeder), Mark, Chris, Pete and Amy (Droll), Deidre, John, Joe, Jay and Bert (Hornstein) and her loving extended family Steve and Kimmie Williams and their daughter Stevee.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Saturday from 1- 4 PM.
