Frances Louise Ichrist

Frances Louise Ichrist passed away at the University of Toledo Medical Center on April 25, 2025 her 73rd birthday. She was born April 25, 1952 in Toledo to Raymond and Lucille (Kowalski) Ichrist and graduated from Woodward High School in 1970.

Frances worked in retail for LaSalle’s, Macy’s and Elder Beerman Department stores and was known to many as the clerk at the top of the escalator in Bedding and Linen. She loved to knit, crochet and color pictures for her friends and neighbors at Advanced Health Care assisted living center. Frances also like to make them as well as her family hats, scarfs and blankets.for birthdays and holiday gifts.

She liked sci-fi shows but her biggest pride and joy was her sons and newest grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Raymond Ichrist and  is survived by her son Johnny (Kaeli) Ichrist  and Jim (Ron Davies) Ichrist; grandson Jameson Ichrist; sister Mary Rose Ducat as well as her dog  Bogey.  

Her family would like to thank Advance Healthcare, UTMC, especially Nurse Emily and Pastor Dan for the loving care and compassion in her final days.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday after 4 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Prayer Service at 6 PM.
