Frank Howard Wilhelm

Frank H. Wilhelm peacefully passed away on September 14, 2024 at the age of 89, surrounded by his family at Ebied Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Frank retired from GM Powertrain in 1988 after 32 1/2 years of service. Following retirement, he continued working for 23 additional years at Sylvania Country Club, (strictly for the free golf balls and golf) He also spent 23 years in Lakeland, Florida enjoying golf, Detroit Tigers spring training, and working at Disney World.

He was avid Detroit Tigers, Lions and U of M fan. Go Blue!!

Frank was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

He is survived by his daughters; Linda (Chuck) Gekle, Carol (John) Wilson, Shelly (Ted) Bender and Renee Lutz.  11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Hicks; and brother, John Wilhelm.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Bernice Wilhelm; his parents Frank and Ruth Wilhelm; and sister, Lenore Fultz.

Visitation will be held at the Castillo Funeral Home, 1757 Tremainsville Rd., on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. with Military Funeral Honors conducted at 7 p.m.
