Harvey Joseph Liepa

Harvey Joseph Liepa passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 38. Harvey was born on November 25, 1984 in Wheeling, WV to Harvey Michael Liepa and Christine Judy Brado.  When Harvey was 5 years old he was given the nickname “Monkey Canz” by his brother Paul.  Growing up Harvey played many sports but he was most passionate about playing hockey.  While according to Harvey “he loves all Michigan Teams” the Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions were by far his favorite teams.  Harvey was very passionate about his family name and learning the ancestry of his family.  His most recent occupation was framing houses but Harvey was definitely a “jack of all trades”.  The last 6 months of Harvey’s life he had completely turned his life around and had big plans for the future, including purchasing a home and marrying his fiancé this summer to come.  Harvey was truly able to find love and happiness prior to his passing with his fiancé and could truly say he was finally “happy” again.  Harvey was an extremely loving, caring and giving person, especially when it came to the one’s he held dearest.  Harvey will be missed deeply by so many!!

Harvey was preceded in death by the mother of his son’s Heather Cluckey and his grandparents on both sides.  Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Isaiah Liepa and Malachi Cluckey.  Harvey also held a very special place in his heart for his fiance’s kids; Kahlee and Isaac and accepted them as his own.  Also left to cherish is memory are his parents Harvey Liepa and Christine Brado, brothers; Paul (Katie) Callahan, Michael (Erin) Barrett, his fiancé; Lisa Tammarine and many loving nieces, nephews and special friends. 

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Thursday after 4 PM followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to his family via this website to help offset expenses.
