Jason Ellis-Olvera Obituary

Jason D. Ellis 26, was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 8, 1992 Jason was an amazing person with the biggest heart. As a child, Jason was an energetic, fearless mommas boy and he wasn’t afraid to tell you so. Jason was a kind, go getter even when he was up to no good. He loved fishing, football, the Dallas Cowboys, and Ohio State. He loved his family the most. Most importantly he loved his little boy, Jason Jr (Peanut). His son was his world. He was a great father, son, brother, cousin, and friend.

Jason grew up to be the type of person who always knew how to put a smile on your face whether he was clowning around or being serious. He was rough and tough on the outside with a heart of gold. His smile and spirit was infectious. His work ethic was impeccable. He was a roof warrior.

All of these positives were quickly sidelined by a wrong decision to do drugs. Jason battled with addiction for many years. On Monday, February 18, 2019 he lost his battle against his drug addiction. His life was ended far too soon. His family wants you to know addiction does not discriminate and urges you to reach out to someone who is struggling with addiction or mental health. Seek help when needed. Don’t be afraid to ask! To all you parents, pay attention to your children and the world that is around them. Even if it seems ok on the surface their world could be crumbling underneath. Jason’s battle is now over and he is at peace.

Survivors include his son Jason Jr (Peanut), mother Heather Ellis, Brothers Jeremy Ellis-Vasquez (Lauren Baxter), Jarrett Seger, Nevaeh Allen, sister Britney Allen, grandmother Sandra (Rich) Bish nephews Noah, Eli, and niece Natalie. Rest easy J-byrd!
