John Junior Garth passed away in Toledo Healthcare Nursing Home on July 3, 2020 at the age of 67. He was born April 21, 1953 in Morgan County, AL to John and Addie (Batts) Garth. After high school, he moved to Toledo and was a auto mechanic for shops eventually owning Garth Auto Repair.
John was a great cook especially soul food and barbeque which were his specialty. He also loved to fish and enjoyed dancing to any type of music he’d hear.
His greatest love was his family specifically his grandkids, who he spoiled.
John is preceded in death by his parents; sister Molly, stepdad Price Elliott; grandson Loyalty Parker and granddaughter Alayah Garth. He is survived by his children John (Amanda) Garth, Shannon Garth, Shawna (David) Sharp, Linda Garth, Lena Garth, Nathaniel Winston, Andre Winston and Christopher Garth; twenty-nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters Lena Garth of Priceville, AL and Lou Bertha Ervine of Decatur, AL; and brothers Willie D. Garth of Athens, AL and Victor Garth of Huntsville, AL.
His Family will receive friends for limited visitation (masks must be worn, 40 in building at a time, guest please limit your time so that others may have a chance to pay their respects and social distancing will be observed inside facilities) at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday after 10 AM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12 Noon with interment at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
