Jose Angel J. Torres, Sr.

Jose Angel J. Torres, Sr. of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was born on May 6, 1954, to Robert and Leonora (Ruiz) Torres. He worked many jobs over his lifetime and recently retired from Jeep after 36 years of service. Jose was a loving family man and a great friend to many. He was known for being a sharp dresser, a smooth dancer, having a fabulous head of hair, and most of all for his kind, genuine heart. Jose was always more than happy to help others in any way that he could. He married his loving wife, Elida (Parraz) Torres on June 30, 2020. They were planning on having their wedding celebration in the Spring of 2021.

Jose's wife, Elida, joined him in death just six days later of the same illness. He is survived by his children, Rosalinda (Jamie) Kimpel, Jose (Sonia) Torres, Jr. and Crystal (Jeremy) Marx; grandchildren, Mercedes, Alexisa, Isaiah, Isaac, Elias, Amelliana, Angelleia, Gabriella, Jadyn and Zoe; siblings, Carlos (Teresa), Rudy, Mary (Antonio Jr.) Vallejo, Jesse (Colleen) Ruiz, Janie Reyna, Samuel Sr., Jacob and Daniel Torres. Jose was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Delores Navarro, Virginia Vargas, Robert, Emma DeLuca, Richard, Alfred, and Tony Torres; and angel babies, Priscilla and David Torres.

Due to Covid-19, the funeral service will be private at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. on Saturday. The service will be live streamed at 10 am. Friends and family are welcome for the interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park where masks and social distancing will be required. Memorial tributes may be made to Jose's family via the donations tab on this website to help offset expenses.
