Linda Holmes-Ogburn, born October 11, 1955, in Huntington, West Virginia, and raised in Toledo, Ohio, transitioned unexpectedly on June 10, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved community matriarch, Linda served with unwavering compassion for over 40 plus years in Toledo Public Schools Transportation. Known affectionately as “Ms. Linda” and “Momma Linda,” she gave freely, from coats and gloves to lunch money, hairstyles, and life advice, leaving a legacy of love that lives on in the countless children she nurtured.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Eugene Ogburn Sr., her beloved daughter Lindsay Raé Perry (Sidney), special niece/daughter Jerina Jackson (Jemar), bonus son Eugene Ogburn Jr., and grandchildren Sidney Perry Jr. and Kamie Tuggle, and sister Cynthia Anderson, along with cherished nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eleanor Holmes, and her siblings (twin) Lonnie Holmes Sr., Carol Ann Holmes, Williams Holmes Jr. (Lori-living), Connie Holmes (Billy Mumford-living), Rosemary Holmes, and Robin Fuller (Albert-living), and Robert Holmes.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 19, 2025, from 12–3 PM at Castillo Funeral Home in Toledo, Ohio. Her heart, her strength, and her kindness will never be forgotten.
