After a long and courageous battle with brain cancer, Mark peacefully received his wings on December 11, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
He served in the army from 1978 to 1990 serving stints in Germany, Panama, Texas among other locations.
He worked at Prestige Store fixtures for 24 years as a cabinet finisher.
He was an avid boater and lived on his boat with his wife Sharon for 15 years at Riverview Yacht Club where he was a member for 21 years. Mark took pride in taking care of the flowers at the yacht club for many years.
Some things he enjoyed were taking Kaitlyn and Mathew on his pontoon boat to the beach and the Shoreland fireworks. Preparing the dock dogs for Homecoming at RVYC.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Sharon, father Ed Weirich, mother Miriam Thompson (Jerry), daughter Krystyn Weirich Harmon, step daughter Jennifer Kasper (Andy), Kim Williams (Nick), sisters Amy Carpenter and Angela Larson (Keith).
He also has 7 grandchildren, Nicholas II Brendan, Anthony, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Kaydance , Kolby and 3 great grandchildren Nicholas II, Paisley and Spencer.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Kurt Harmon.
There will be a celebration of Mark’s live Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Riverview Yacht Club 5981 Edgewater Drive, Toledo, Ohio 43611.
