Marlana M. (Miller) Keeler, age 78, passed away May 9, 2020 at UTMC from complications of COVID-19. Although her family could not be there physically, she was surrounded in love in our hearts. Marlana was born December 19, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Burrell and Fern (Thebeau) Miller. She attended Sylvania Burnham High School and in 1959, married the love of her life, David K. Keeler.
Marlana retired from St. Charles Hospital as a dietitian and then drove bus for Sylvania Schools. She enjoyed camping, boating, going to garage sales, playing darts, and gardening. She loved the singer Loretta Lynn and her dog Rocky. Marlana was always the life of the party and the biggest jokester of the family. Her grandchildren always say she was a woman never shy of words.
Marlana will be greatly missed by her husband of 61 years, David Keeler; children, Tracey Tressler, Charmaine (Larry) Hill, Todd (Susan) Keeler, son in law Edward Darga; grandchildren, Danielle (Eddie) Salisbury, Matthew (Linda) Snyder, Chad Snyder, Cory (Jodi) Tressler, Michael (Lauren) Snyder, Alaina (Jason) Pool, William Reece, Daisy Trautsch; 10 Great Grandchildren.
Marlana was preceded in death by her parents, Burrell and Fern, brother Burrell "Corky" Miller JR, and daughter Shannon Keeler.
Friends and Family are welcome for limited visitation (masks must be worn, 40 in funeral home at a time, and social distancing will be observed inside facilities) at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Monday, September 21, 2020 starting at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 1:30 PM. The family will also be celebrating the lives of David and Shannon Keeler at this time. All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life at Reynolds Garden Cafe, 1220 S. Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615 at 4:00 PM.
