Matthew G. Harold, age 53 of Toledo, Ohio passed away May 22, 2021. He was born April 15, 1968 to Douglas and Diana Harold in Toledo, Ohio. He grew up in Point Place where he graduated from Woodward High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Switching System Operator and served from 1986-1989, being stationed in Ft. Bragg, NC and South Korea. He was employed throughout the years with Foodtown, Farmer Jack, Grogans Towne Auto Dealership, Brown Automotive Group, and Tamaron Apartments. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Matt was a huge football fan following the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. Over the years he had many hobbies to include restoring his 1968 Pontiac GTO, fixing anything and everything, tending to his vegetable garden, cooking, listening to rock and roll music and many more. He was always the life of the party and knew how to tell a great joke.
The family wishes to thank his girlfriend Christine whom Matt leaned on for so much and best friends Will Irving and Danny Ginsburg for their loyal friendship over the years. Matthew was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother Joel (Anita); children Allison (Allen) and Sean (Sarah); grandson Waylon; and step-brothers Tim, Rob (Shelly); and step-sister Paula (Ron). He will truly be missed by all.
