Nicholas “Nick” Van Kelley passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 14, 2023 in his home at the age of 35. He was born July 8, 1987 in Knoxville, TN to Robert Kelley & Rachel Sarnes and graduated from Clay High School in 2005. Nick previously worked as a dealer at Hollywood Casino but more recently homeschooled his daughter, whom he adored.
His passion was playing his acoustic Fender guitar whether it is rock or jazz, he loved music. Nick also enjoyed video games and reading.
He was highly intelligent and enjoyed having passionate discussions concerning current events and politics. Nick was never judgmental of others always giving people the benefit of the doubt. He was a good listener and was a genuinely honest person.
Nick is preceded in death by his grandmother Patsy Little, grandfather Merle Kelley and uncles Van Harter and Rusty Kelley.
He is survived by his wife Aimie; daughter Nivelle; mother Rachel (Ken) Fashbaugh; father Robert (Mary) Kelley; sister Brianna Kelley; brothers Jacob (Allie) Kelley, Jesse Wolf and John Wolf; nephew and Niece Odin & Faya Kelley; special friend and cousin James Brewer; grandpatrents; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nick’s family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Thursday after 2 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 7 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to his family via this website to help offset expenses and support his family.
