Noreen Kay (Sipple) Weaver

Noreen K. Weaver passed away Monday October 24, 2022 in St. Anne’s Mercy Hospital at the age of 86. She was born April 20, 1936 in Traverse City, Michigan to William and Irma (Payment) Sipple.

Our mother had full life which included the love of her life Tom Weaver, Sr.. They were united in marriage on September 11, 1954 and from that union came six children.

She was very active in charitable organizations St. Louis Soup Kitchen, Funeral Luncheons and was a volunteer receptionist at St. Catherine’s Of Siena Parish. Mom was one of the original “chimers”

She did lots of entertaining with family and friends which included pool parties where all the grand children learned to swim.

Mom hosted many holiday parties, her favorite being Thanksgiving where she was so grateful for her family & friends. All were welcome to sit at the table because mom believed that no one should be alone.

Although mom suffered many losses and many struggles; she always said “Her faith always gave her strength and God has been good to her.”t

Noreen is preceded in death by her parents William & Irma Sipple; husband Thomas Weaver, Sr.; daughters Julie A. Shively and Cathy Leonard; son Michael Weaver; and brother Richard Sipple. She is survived by her daughters Susan (Tommie) Banks and Diana (Jim) Hooven; son Thomas Jr.; sons-in-law Don Leonard and Paul Shively; numerous grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Anne’s, who she considered family.

Memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Noreen’s family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Friday from 4 – 7 PM and Saturday at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church after 9:30 AM followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
