Randall (Randy) Lee Van Pelt was born on August 12, 1962 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of 3 children born from the union of his parents: the late Robert Van Pelt and the late Ruth Tate. He received his education by attending Lindsborg High School in Lindsborg, Kansas and graduating with the class of 1981.
Randy moved back to Michigan in 1993 after moving to Kansas as a child with his mother. He has worked at many restaurants over the years. He enjoyed cooking and creating in the kitchen. After 25 years at the Chateau Louise, he had to end his career after falling ill in 2020.
He enjoyed spending time with family. Even though he did not have any animal of his own he loved spending time with his buddies. To name a few, Bear, Spook, Sugar, Spooky, Blue, Kane, Schornstien, Rocky, Rocco, Copper, Sunny, Gracie, Bella Boo and T2. He loved all the family pets. He only had one that did not like him and that was Sage. She wanted nothing to do with him and to this day we have no idea why.
He spent countless hours doing what he loved, shooting pool with his pool family at Rack Time and other places. He loved rooting on his friends and always showed his support when he was not the one behind the stick. RVP loved you all!
