Raymond “Ray” Lewis Heilmann passed away surrounded by loved ones and his loving wife Stacie of 27 years on Saturday November 27, 2021 at the age of 67. Ray was born on March 7, 1954 in Toledo to Lewis E and Mildred (Acha) Heilmann and was raised in Elmore, Ohio and graduated from Woodmore High in 1976. Ray worked as a diesel mechanic until 1995 when he became a “Master Parts Salesman” at Freightliner of Toledo (previously Heidtman Steele). Ray’s final retirement was in 2020 when Covid-19 hit as a pandemic.
Ray was a hard worker and loved, adored, and was so proud of his wife and children Rayson 9, Rhylen 7& Dustin Ashbaucher. Ray always put others first and always wanted to serve God by serving others and showing other Gods love. Ray was so kind loving and helpful! Ray always stayed busy “finding things to do”. He was always compassionate and loving.
Ray enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He loved a great sunset on Fort Meyers Beach, Florida, or a moon that shines on the ocean! He enjoyed fishing with his friend Chris Gumminski. Ray enjoyed bon fires with his favorite people Cindy & Dale Kinzel, brother and sister in law; Shelly and Ramon Ramirez, father in law; Gary & Jean Lee. Hobo dinners with sisters; Barbara & Vaughn (Oct. 3, 1948-Nov. 16, 2012) Schaffer & Donna Bush.
Ray had numerous family and special people he leave behind to cherish his memory. Besides previously mentioned family and friends he is also survived by in-laws Debbie Lee & Don Landis; nieces Raquel & Mario Riley and their children Kyra, Mariana and Layla; Ashley & Nick Broyles and their children Harper, Xander and Rosa Lee; Shelby Ramirez and her children Carter and Gabriella Keeling-Ramirez; Stacie Jo & Mike Harris and their children Harley Michael and Gunner James; Special Nieces & Nephews Veronica Jane, Sadie Marie and Denem Bo; and Special Sister Tera Lynn and her son Masyn Cole.
Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home Tremainsville Rd. Sunday after 3 PM followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 6 PM where a meal will be served after the service.
