Raymond A. Reitz

Raymond A. Reitz passed away unexpectedly Wednesday April 14, 2021at the age of 71. He was born August 27, 1949 in Toledo to Charles & Anna (Rehtel) Reitz and graduated from Libbey High School in 1967. Ray earned his Computer Science Associates Degree from Owens Community College. He began his I T Career with various companies eventually working at the Ford Motor Co. in Flatrock, MI and retired after 22 yrs. of service. Computers or any technical equipment were Ray’s passion and he would help his friends fix or solve any of their computer issues.

In his younger days, he was a drummer in his high school band was an avid bowler.  Ray was a sports fan following the Detroit Tigers, Green Bay Packers and especially the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Ray enjoyed oldies music, movies, visiting with friends and going out to dinner.

 Ray is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Dennis) Dillon; grandsons Andrew and Jacob; and best friend Connie Wright as well as many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Mary Crawford and brother Richard Reitz.

Friends and family may gather for a limited visitation (masks must be worn, 30 guests in the funeral home at a time, and social distancing will be observed inside facilities; please limit visiting to 10 min. or less so others may come in to pay their respects) at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd.Monday after 4 PM followed by  A Celebration of Life Service at 7 PM.
