Sandra "Sam" Ann Stein

Sandy “Sam” Stein, age 64, passed away peacefully at Lakes of Sylvania on September 28, 2023.

Born to Donald and Marilyn Stein, May 10, 1959, she attended Perrysburg Schools, graduating from Penta Career Center. Later in life she attended Owens Community College.  Sandy was a caregiver, spending years taking care of her previous partner's father. She cared for over 100 foster children, treating each as if they were her own.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Chesney League-Stein.

She is survived by her partner of 25 years, Lin League; children Barbie Jaggers, Tammi Jaggers, Timmi Jaggers, Mario League-Stein, and Christian League-Stein. Two grandchildren Tammi's son Maddox Hunt and Mario's daughter Charlie League-Stein were the joy of her life.

Sandy also leaves behind 2 brothers, Michael J. Stein (Sandy) and Patrick Stein (Kelly) and 2 sisters Donna Thomas and Linda Hablitzel (Charles) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Sandy's second passion after family and children was cooking. Volunteering often to prepare funeral lunches, as well as making funnel cakes for many years at the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Sandy's family would like to thank the staff at the Lakes of Sylvania for their compassionate care over the last 2 months.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Thursday from 4- 7 PM and Friday at Most Blessed Catholic Church after 10 AM followed by Funeral Mass at 11 AM.
