Shawn Edward Leroux

Shawn E. Leroux Sr., age 57 of Toledo, passed away Tuesday September 21,2021 at U of M Medical Center but still rooting on his Buckeyes.  He was born in Toledo on May 4, 1964 to Barbara (Kelly) & Joseph Leroux and attended Libbey High School in Toledo before starting his career as a cement mason.  Shawn spent most of his career as a cement mason with local 886.  Throughout his career he had the opportunity to work on many projects his most proud accomplishment was the Veterans Glass City Skyway where he worked with his brother Rick, son Raymond, and best friend Tim.

Shawn married the love of his life Deanna Saunders on August 9, 2003.  He had many hobbies such as camping, fishing & watching football.  Shawn loved the Chicago Bears and The Ohio State Buckeyes.  Everyone knew he loved to dance and give the most perfect hugs. Most importantly Shawn loved his family and they were always number one to him.  Shawn held many titles; husband, father, brother, uncle, & friend but his favorite was being a peepaw to his 5 beautiful grand babies.

Shawn is survived by his wife Deanna Leroux, Children; Raymond (Amanda), Brianna (Christian) Shawn Jr. (Emma), & Donnie; grandchildren; Anthony, Dominic, Amelia, Addilynn & Kaylee; siblings; Joseph, William, Renee, James, Richard & Michael.  He was preceeded in death by parents Barbara & Larry Moore.

Family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Wednesday from 4 – 8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday at 2 PM in Northpoint Church 3708 Laskey Rd. .
