Steven Craig Reed, Sr.

Steven Craig Reed, Sr. passed away in his home surrounded by his family and friends on Saturday December 2, 2023 at the age of 72. He was born October 10, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Waite High School in Toledo.

After high school. Steven enlisted in the U.S. Army receiving 2 Bronze Service Stars for serving on campaigns in Korea and Vietnam between 1968 and 1971.

He was at longtime trucker before retiring.

Steven is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth (nee Hamilton) Golightly; father Richard Kern; step-father Charles Reed; son Steven C. Reed, II; twin grandsons Joshua and Jacob and great granddaughter Lillyana.

He is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving wife Deborah (Paszkiet) of 42 years; siblings Jaime (Jackie) Reed, Heather Reed, Shawn Perry, Stacey (Doug) Peeps; daughter in law Kristen Holder Reed; sister Dianne Reed and niece Charley Holland; 31 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and his support dog Melvin. His family would like to thank the staff of  Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving care of Steven.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday December 16, 2023  from 5 – 7 PM in Lewis Ave. Baptist Church 6320 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI 48182.
