Yolanda (Garcia) Gomez

Yolanda Gomez passed away December 24, 2025 surrounded by her family in Elizabeth Scott Community at the age of 81. She was born July 5, 1944 in Asherton, Texas to Blas and Maria (Velez) Garcia.

She married Paul Gomez, Sr. and was the homemaker for the family, Yolanda enjoyed working with flowers and plants and worked at various greenhouses in the area. She loved to play bingo but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially Sunday Dinners.

Yolanda is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Frank, Blas Jr. and David. She is survived by her loving husband Paul Gomez, Sr.; sister Diana; daughters Linda Gomez and her children Latisha, Monica, Kristie and Isaiah; Christine (Timothy) Eckenrode and her children Ashley and Bradley; Dora Gomez and her children Karl, jr., Korey and Natacia; son Paul  Gomez Jr. and Linda and their children Paul Micheal, Angela and Racheal; as well as many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Tuesday after 3 PM followed by Funeral services at 6 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to her family via this website to help offset expenses.
