George falls into the category of a plain nice guy. Friendly to all. I still remember his distinct voice on the Toledo Fire Division VHF radio as an "operator" (dispatcher) in the late 70's; and then when I earned my amateur radio (ham) license, I heard that same distinct friendly voice again. George was passionate about helping new hams, and working with us on the SKYWARN weather team in NW Ohio. George also served as a director of Amateur Radio Emergency Services for NW Ohio for many years. A good man, a good friend, and good ham that is missed. May God Bless his family and friends. Many thanks to our SK, WB8HHZ. 73, John

So very sorry to hear of George's passing. We knew George through Amateur Radio and through the Ohio Single Sideband Net. He was such a great guy, and I remember he was always smiling! He will truly be missed!
